Strange Firefox Launch Behavior

My home page is https://search.yahoo.com/

I like catching the photos, every now and then I see one that perks my interest.

Occasionally, however, when I first start Firefox, it will load the home page, then refresh.

I cannot find any reason for this behavior on my end, anybody got a clue?

this concern not only your page, i have similar with groupspeeddial (extension).

edit:
firefox 62 and gsd has reload, firefox 64 has not.
