Alt+d won't work in pinned tabs

Post by Odin2 »

Alt+d doesn't work in pinned tabs but works fine otherwise. Is this a property of pinned tabs?

Seems to work here. Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

What Firefox locale (user interface language) do you use?

Thanks, both. I've had many problems with quantum and so am engaging professional help. I use English (if that's what you're asking).

What do you expect ALT+D to do? For me, in either a pinned or not pinned tab, pressing ALT+D selects all contents in the address bar.

Did you try safe mode as Dan suggested? What were the results?

I appreciate all your comments, but before I could explore them Fx became entirely inaccessible (!)--and to restore it I did have to engage professional help, after which the problem of this thread [among others] was gone. Unfortunately, the restoration was incomplete, and filling in the loose ends has taken most of my free time. Hence my delay in responding. I'm always grateful, however, for the high-level help you Mozillazine volunteers provide.
