Since I installed the latest update, Firefox is slow accessing web pages. Chrome is quick as ever. Unless this is a known problem and there's a plan to fix it I must switch to Chrome.

What sort of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.
"Terry Pratchett" Do you get the same behavior in safe mode?

Nope. Not here running version 60.0.3 under Windows 10. What security software is running on that system?
Sounds like a troll. . FF 65.0.1 - FF 66b9 - FF 67a - TB 60.5 - Mac OSX 10.13.6
Computers I've used: IBM 7094/UNIVAC 1108/IBM 360/DEC PDP11/DEC VAX-11 780/DEC VAXstation 8000/Sun SPARCstation 2/Mac from 1984 to 2019 On Windows there are no significant known problems with speed. However most antivirus software have a web shield / man in the middle component which makes trouble. If you use an antivirus other than Windows Defender, as a test, get Firefox to bypass its web shield or disable the web shield. For some antivirus software this page tells how to change the settings: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/er ... OWN_ISSUER
