Must restart to use extensions
Lately I've been finding that (at least some of) my extensions aren't working until I restart Fx. This has been recurring repeatedly and often. Is there a fix?

Not seeing anything of the sort but it's not exactly clear what you are describing. Do you mean that the extensions are not working after initial installation, or after Firefox updates are installed, or that, after working for a time, the extensions are not working with no other changes to the profile? And is it only specific extensions?

Re: Must restart to use extensions
For no apparent cause the extensions just stop working, but resume after a browser restart. I have not tested all my extensions in such circumstances, so it's possible some may work. Those that don't include ABP and Tab Toggle. (Right now they all seem to be working.) This may be pertinent: I've noticed now that Fx's built-in password manager has stopped working--that is, it no longer fills in the password and username as it used to.

Are you running Ccleaner or any other clean up utility of that sort?

How about trying Safe Mode or a New test Profile?Odin2 wrote:Is there a fix?

Re: Must restart to use extensions
DanRaisch, I was trying out CCleaner and Malwarebytes. Both were uninstalled when I encountered and posted this issue. Currently I don't see the issue (although I suppose it might return). Tomatoshadow2, I am not. Mightyglydd, I've checked out the helpful link, and will use it if my issue persists. Thanks, all.

Don't let Ccleaner touch anything related to Firefox. There are numerous reports on these forums of damage to Firefox profiles by Ccleaner. Firefox can clean up after itself quite well with the proper config settings.
