Where can I find the toolbar button?

But I cannot find the toolbar button to show the status bar: "Simply click on the toolbar button to show the statusbar." Where can I find it?

Not sure... but have you looked in the Customise palette?
May be hiding in there.

This from the AMO page for this addon:

Simply click on the toolbar button to show the statusbar. Please note that, you need to have at least one active download for the statusbar to become visible. Within the statusbar, downloads are listed horizontally. Each download has a context-menu with several options. In order to close the statusbar please click on the red close button within the statusbar. Please note that, toolbar button only shows the statusbar.

You have to have an ACTIVE download for the Status Bar to show up,
otherwise it won't be visible.

how many buttons have you got on the bar ? at the far right side of the bar is there (2) carots >> that is the 'overflow' area, perhaps the button is just pushed off to the right-side out of sight ?

That image shows that the download has completed, so it must be functioning correctly with a down load in progress.
