Only no version of Firefox is to blame for this issue so....
Anyways Mozilla has been working at various ways to get affected Extensions working again by providing Fx 66.0.4 and 60.6.2esr updates. You can manually check for updates or download from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ and for ESR https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/
People were jumping to the conclusion in blaming Fx 66.0.3 even though it was released back on April 10th.
It was an unfortunate case of a intermediate certificate that well expired and many extensions were affected.
The 66.0.4 and 60.6.2esr updates are not proof that it was indeed a Firefox problem but rather as a way to get people using their extensions again.

Re: Firefox's programmers are morons
Yet again upgrading beyond FF56 makes things unusable, and way too much addon/system debugging/eliminating/configuration. I guess I have to switch back to 56 because video stuttering/freezing and even screen tearing just makes FF66 unusable even after trying some of the fixes I found in google.
