Event Viewer repeated Firefox errors.

Post by randyandy »

Hello....and hopefully you can throw some light on this strange problem. It first appeared 6-2-19. I opened Event Viewer and discovered multiple Firefox errors. As few as three errors on this date to as many as 14, 7-16-19. I found by doing a restart the errors would stop appearing for a few days...and then reappear, as was the case yesterday 7-17-19. Below is an exact copy of what each error says about the 'situation', verbatim. These errors do not seem to affect the functionality of Firefox.
I'm on the beta channel. Anyone care to hazard a guess? As is always the case I'm grateful for the input offered by forum members. Thanks in advance and cheers, RandyAndy.

Same here, also on Release and Dev versions. Restarting doesn't help. It's been coming and going on Nightly for a while now. I've also noticed that when getting that error, when you R. click the Taskbar icon the usual choices (Tasks, Pin, Close) don't appear.

FYI, it can be translated.

SameBinary.h#56 indicates exe file path mismatching between processes, but I don't know what is it, why it occurs, how to solve it. (I don't have this issue)

repeating - not here. had (its now disabled again) launcher process running for all builds, nothing. in combination with disabled UAC its not possible to drag from firefox. must be something specific and you got links.

An Update on my Event Viewer Firefox error (event ID 58) experience. (top of page) I think some say Firefox is blameless. You could be right. Consider this. When this error first appeared, 6-2-19
the Firefox error occurred daily. Then on a whim I restarted my computer. The FF errors disappeared until another FF update. I did a restart and again, no error ID 58s. I went from July 18 to July 23rd, error free. However...

At 3:00: 42 pm today I installed the latest FF version 69.0 beta 7. Once installed I opened Event Viewer. Firefox error a 3:01:43, follow by another and another. I notice at least 3 Event viewer
Firefox error instances instances correspond to a Firefox update. Too complex for me to figure out. And as I mentioned in my first note about this topic, the errors in no way appear to hinder the functions of FF ...my default browser.

I imagine I'll likely reboot the PC again to put a stop to the errors showing up...at least under my next FF update. Or maybe I'll just forget about them until something seriously goes sideways. In the meantime, I'm not going to lose any sleep over this...but will continue to check the forum for any insight from members. And with that, its goodnight from me. Randy.
