Facebook Messenger Games No Longer Load

Since about 2 days ago I have found that the games that you can play in Facebook via Messenger no longer work in that they will not load - they stick at 0% when loading. I have tried clearing my cache and that has not cured the problem. The problem does not occur in the Edge browser and I know that other FB friends have switched to using Chrome to get round this problem. Examples of games affected are Quiz Planet, Solitaire Story, and Word Blitz. What is the solution to this problem (other than using a different browser!)

Moving to Firefox Support as no bug has yet been identified here.

Surely if something used to work In Firefox and no longer does, that makes it a bug?

Not automatically, no. A bug is when something doesn't work as intended (by the developers). The Bugs forum here is for discussion of issues that have been confirmed to be caused by bugs in Firefox and not by changes on the web site, changes in security software, installation of extensions, etc. I've seen no other reports of issues with FB Messenger games as would probably be the case if this was a bug in the browser.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

Interestingly, when I used Safe Mode and clicked on one of the game links I got a message saying "Browser doesn't support this feature" and advised me to use another browser!!

And I just tried Word Blitz and had no problem at all in launching it from Firefox 68.0.1 under Win 10.

The problem was eventually solved by creating a new Profile with a name other than "Default" so that I could identify things in my old profile that I wanted to port to the new one. I have no idea what the original problem was cause by as everything else in my browser sessions seemed to be working normally
