I don't know why Firefox truncates folder names in the Bookmarks Toolbar. If I give a folder a long name it's obviously for good reason.

Is there any way in Userchrome (or otherwise) to prevent the truncating? Obviously, I only want this to apply to folders, not to bookmarks themselves.

Try this:

Code: Select all
/* Firefox userChrome.css */

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

#PersonalToolbar toolbarbutton.bookmark-item[container] {
  max-width: none !important;
}

Also, I can remove the label truncation if I remove the label element crop attribute.

i.e. <xul:label class="toolbarbutton-text" crop="right" ...></xul:label>

I can change the ellipsis character with the intl.ellipsis preference.
