Re: The "favicon.sqlite" is missing
Did you use the button on the about:support page or the button on the about:profiles page to go to the root location in "AppData\Roaming" ?
Did you at least found places.sqlite in the profile folder?
The favicons.sqlite file should be in the same folder.

No the favicons.sqlite can't be found -the places.sqlite is there, yes
I got four profiles - Everyone do have the places.sqlite but not the the favicons.sqlite
By the way my Firefox Version is 69.0.1 Build-ID 20190917135527

Re: The "favicon.sqlite" is missing
Thanks
I set the devtools.chrome.enabled preference to true in about:config (to get a commandline in the nextg
Then did what was suggested from the above mentioned link 2: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/229 ... ces-sqlite:
Now I think it is working
And I also got a brandnew "favicons.sqlite-file"

Then after ½ hour -> restarted firefoxvar fS = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/browser/favicon-service;1"]
.getService(Components.interfaces.nsIFaviconService);
fS.expireAllFavicons()
Now I think it is working
And I also got a brandnew "favicons.sqlite-file"
