Reset all but passwords

Post by Alkash »

Hello, fellows!

Can someone please clarify if there's a way to reset all Firefox but not passwords?

Thanx!

PS Is there a Russian support branch?

Hi there,
The Russian site is here...

It's much safer to back-up your Profile, create a new one & transfer your "stuff" over to it.

& if necessary, you could back-up your Passwords using this free program...

Nirsoft's program may help as well...

Good luck. Hope this helps a bit.

(Always choose the "Custom" Install.)

You can backup logins.json and key4.db to have a backup of your passwords.
That is the most reliable way and you can simply place these two files in a Firefox profile to have access to the passwords.
There is a button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support) to go to the currentb profile folder.
Make sure that Firefox is closed.
