I recently updated FF on one of my PC's hoping it would solve a problem, it didn't. I now have tried to uninstall and go back to my previous version but it just reverts to the latest release.
How can I completely uninstall and go back to an older version.

Re: Revert to an older version of Firefox
Turn off Firefox program updates after installing the older version - - before letting Firefox get to the internet! Pull the connection to the computer, then open Firefox and disable updates. Of course, with Firefox 63 (or is it 67, I forget) there is no preference to disable Firefox program updates ........

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.

Re: Revert to an older version of Firefox
stop updates in FF
user_pref("app.update.enabled", false);
The Registry option
Firefox users may also make changes to the Windows Registry if they use Windows to disable automatic updates.
Open the Start menu.
Type regedit.exe and select the result.
Confirm the UAC prompt that may be displayed.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox.
If any of the keys do not exist create them with a right-click on the previous key and the selection of New > Key.
Right-click on Firefox and select New > Dword (32-bit) Value.
Name it DisableAppUpdate.
Set its value to 1.

Re: Revert to an older version of Firefox
would you please answer the last question!?
at least you are still on firefox 69 and 70 is current - there is no notable difference.
and the latest v68 is ESR
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/o ... tions/all/
it makes no sense to ignore problems or push them away because they will pursue you - either this or a vulnerable browser which ofc will have 0day exploits - chrome has currently some (2).

OP never figured out how to answer it, Brummelchen (or never told us what kind of problems OP encountered with latest Firefox version)Brummelchen wrote:would you please answer the last question!?

dickvl asked. Op had time and options to answer, even with the previous build.
