in Options|Permissions|Notifications|Settings, Fx supposedly lists websites that have asked permission to send me notifications. Nothing is listed there, although I continue to receive many pop-up notifications daily from websites I visit. I also have blocked all notifications, in the same Options section. Perhaps only some of such website pop-ups are considered notifications subject to my preference. If so, how can I distinguish those that are covered from those that are not?
A secondary issue concerns Fx's warning, "Blocking notifications may break some website features." If a website does block such features, is there any way for me to know (so I could change my permission for that website)?

Re: Blocking notifications
Most sites use push notifications to pop up the notification requests. Firefox can block those.
A number of sites have moved to an HTML5 overlay to request notifications and because that kind of overlay can be used for lots of other things, Firefox can’t block those.
How to completely disable push notifications in Firefox?
