One of my former favorite websites was https://codefisher.org/ where people could make their own Firefox buttons, but it doesn't work anymore because the extensions aren't "signed".

Does anyone know of another site or add-on that would do the same thing?

The codefisher extension is a legacy extension, which is obsolete.

The codefisher buttons use chrome code, which cannot be executed in a WebExtension.

It may not be possible to convert a codefisher button using the WebExtensions API.

For example, the restart button cannot be converted as the needed API does not exist.

I have 7 buttons from CodeFisher that I created well over a year ago. All 7 still work. I just can't make new ones.

I looked in Tools - Add-ons, and 6 of the buttons, I created in January 2018. One was done in September 2018.

Are you having trouble signing a WebExtension?

You can ask for help in the official forum.

I don't know how to do any of that.

So, can I actually make a button on codefisher, somehow get it "signed", and it will work? If so, how?

I tried the following codefisher utility which creates an unsigned WebExtension.

Custom Link Button Maker
http://codefisher.org/toolbar_button/link-button-maker/

You may need to edit the manifest.json file before submitting the addon. Perhaps, change the author and id.

Best to ask for help in the official forum.
