It is easy to delete bookmarks and bookmark folders without noticing. Sometimes I don't notice them missing for days or weeks.

Is there any way to get a confirmation prompt before deleting? A setting. or add-on?

Past bugs for this have been marked WONTFIX because they say you can just Undo them. But you can't Undo them if you don't notice the deletion right away.

Thanks for your time.

There is no preference to abort the placesCmd_delete command.

You cannot prevent a bookmark from being removed with WebExtensions.

You can easily use "Organize -> Undo" in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to recover if you notice this during the current session.
You lose the undo stack once you close Firefox and in that case you need to restore a JSON backup from the bookmarkbackups folder.
