I hate it when I do a search and find the same question which I asked years ago :( Following on to this post http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3040769 I have been using the workaround which I proposed in the thread until...

CentOS Linux 7 finally upgraded FF 68esr to FF 82esr. Of course this had to break something. The bookmark
about:config?filter=signon.rememberSignoabout:config?filter=signon.rememberSignons
now takes me to a blank about:config page. The preference which I need to change is no longer in the search bar. The preference does still exist and by toggling it I can do what I wish to do.

Can someone offer a way to construct a bookmark which will fill in the search criteria which worked in earlier versions of FF?

TIA,

Ken

Are you asking how to filter a preference?

Fails:

about:config?filter=signon.rememberSignons

Succeeds:

chrome://global/content/config.xhtml?filter=signon.rememberSignons

PERFECT!!! That does the trick. Previously I had just let Firefox create the bookmark. This works fine in FF 83esr.

Thank you SO MUCH !!!!!
