Firefox is Slow Compared to Edge.. Help!

It seems that ff is slow compared to edge. I have the latest version of ff btw. Is there a way to speed it up?

I did start ff in safe mode. It actually started much faster and yt videos started almost instantaneously. So is it safe to assume that an addon is to blame for the slowness?
