I edit on Wikisource and must use their scripts, especially for OCR text scanning. At times, this fails, unless I clear the startup cache, once or twice.
If this is a cache size issue, I have 16Gb of RAM. I tried user_pref("browser.cache.memory.capacity", "1000000"); (which is about a gigabyte in kilobytes), but this didn't help. This suggested cache size was based on 1/16th of the physical memory. I found it in a post at the Mozilla developers' forum. But, I don't know that it applies to the startup cache as well.
I will also bring up this issue with the script developers at Wikisource, but had to start somewhere.
