In Kubuntu 18.04 find "Muon" and open it.
Then find Firefox.
Right click on the Firefox line and select "Lock Package".
A tiny padlock appears in it's line.
When you want to unlock it, just go back and right click on it again and select "Unlock Package".
Then find Firefox.

Re: How to TURN OFF AUTO UPDATES in FF89
The third-party builds of Firefox like the Firefox packages from ubuntu are not updated by Mozilla. Only the official builds from mozilla.org are provided internal Firefox updates whether for Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux. Any Firefox updates you have are in your package manager as you found out.P38Usul wrote:How do I turn off the auto updates in Firefox 89?
