Hello,
I'm using Firefox in it's current version on MacOS and I always have 5 to 10 opened tabs in background. Since I updated to version 89 I have a very weird problem: It happens quite often that a tab suddenly closes automatically (and totally unwanted) as soon as I switch to this tab although I don't hit the close button. It doesn't happen all the time but quite regularly and I can't find out why. There's no logic behind it when it happens and when it doesn't happen. It also sometimes happens when I open a new tab and afterwards use the search field next to the address bar. As soon as I press enter to start the search, this tab suddenly closes automatically.
I tried to find out if somebody else has the same problem? Does anybody know this annoying problem or have a clue how to solve it? Is there maybe a setting in the config which might have to do something with this problem?
I'm running MacOS 11.4 and Firefox 89.0.2 (64-bit).
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
Francik

An extension that might be causing it?
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Haven't changed any Add-ons recently. I'm just using Hide.me and Bookmarks Organizer.

Disable them, run for a while, & see if the situation repeats.
Possible that some "fix" in 89 is interfering with what worked with the extensions in 88.

It seems like the extension Hide.me caused the problem...
