Re: FF 91.0 Color and formatting issues (Mac)

After the last update, which announced / added something called Pocket and an icon for Lockwise, Firefox lost colors and formatting on all websites. I have done all the usual troubleshooting / resetting steps and still no colors.

I am running FF 91.0 on an iMac desktop iOS 11.5.2

So what else do I need to try to correct this?

Moving to Firefox Support as no specific bug has yet been identified here.

Not sure what that means. Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Yes. I have restarted FF in safe mode, reset FF, downloaded a fresh copy of FF. Restarted the iMac in safe mode.

Per the release notes, "Firefox [91] now automatically enables High Contrast Mode when "Increase Contrast" is checked on MacOS."

Is it possible you have that setting?

If so, please try one or both of these two options:

(1) Turn off the system-level setting. This appears to be the most effective workaround.

(2) Disable High Contrast mode in Firefox. See: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/disable- ... de-firefox.

For both changes, you might need to Quit Firefox and start it up again to see the normal display.

Any difference?

Bless you jscher2000 - The high contrast mode in the Mac system settings was the culprit. I would never have thought to dig down into the Mac settings for a solution. FF life is back to normal now.
