Not sure if what I want to do is possible but here goes.
Since 91.0 dropped when I go to clear my browsing and download history it removes the bookmark hierarchy.
Normal use before the update worked by remembering the most used bookmarks and loading them at the top of my suggestions when I start typing in the search bar.
Now after clearing it reverts to default and is no longer organized.
Is there a setting I can change in about:config to get it to clear my history but keep the bookmarks ordered? Any fix would be welcome.

Re: Bookmark heirarchy
A bug was introduced in Firefox 91 that if you do not show history suggestions on the address bar drop-down, history is not used in the ranking of bookmarks. I think that will get fixed in Firefox 92, but for now, could you tolerate having some history suggestions in the mix? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ad ... r-shows-me
