Are these files critical to back up?

Post by thechamlin »

1. My backup service, Crashplan, backs up my Firefox profile, but it understandably struggles due to files being locked.
2. The problem is that when Crashplan gets to those files, it can't proceed because files that won't back up block the files further down the list of files to back up.
3. Are these two files actually holding data that if I restored, would be needed? Or would these just "regenerate" without any downside to me upon launching FF after I restored it?

It’s not necessary to backup either file.

Try Hekasoft Backup to save profile . It works well and is free. https://www.hekasoft.com/hekasoft-backup-restore/

Thanks! Saw it and downloaded the exe. Have you restored with it and confirmed?
