bookmarks and history system will not be functional because

The message I get after the last update:
The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application.
This happened once before but I can not remember what was told to me but it did fix it until know. I am running Firefox 93.0--before I was advised to delete some files in the profile and import a new set of bookmarks, the program runs as a portable version in portable apps. Can someone point me in the right direction on which files to delete and etc. I have asked in another forum also

Thanks and that link led to what I needed to repair the bookmarks-this is the second that this has happened.
