mailto link does not open Postbox. [Solved.]

Post by fsinclaire »

Firefox 95.0.2 (64 bit) on iOS 12.1 Email client Postbox 7.0.54 (64 bit)
When I click on a mailto link, the Postbox icon in the apps icons row bounces, but the app does not open or display a blank email message page.
I'd say it's a Postbox problem except the mailto link works fine with Opera, Safari, and Chrome.
Other than this issue, Postbox works fine.
Another forum replied that I need to "inform" Firefox that Postbox is my default email client. How/where do I do that?

Please ignore my earlier post above.
I have been using Postbox successfully for several years, but somehow a few days ago MacOS 12 "forgot" that Postbox is my "default" email client. Perhaps an iOS upgrade caused it? or COVID?
Anyway, life is back to normal.
I apologize.

Hi.
No need to apologize.
Nice to see/hear of an easy fix.
Thanks for the feedback.

You mention using Firefox with Postbox on your Mac yet you mention iOS. Just to note, iOS is the mobile OS for iPhones as the Mac is using a desktop OS as in macOS aka Mac OS X as your Firefox useragent shows.
