Re: FIREFOX AS MAIN BROWSER?
That's a Windows question, not actually a Firefox issue. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 07946c5db6

Re: FIREFOX AS MAIN BROWSER?
You may not be able to. MS is forcing Edge as default. There are several articles if you Google about Edge blocking other browsers from being default. I think this mostly is affecting those on Win11, but could also be same or Win10.

Re: FIREFOX AS MAIN BROWSER?
Win 10 has forced users of other browsers to try multiple times to change the default and there are (iirc) multiple defaults to update. But Edge has updated on this system and despite its encouragement to set it as default, I still have Firefox as my main browser under Win 10.

Re: FIREFOX AS MAIN BROWSER?
Is there any utility software out there than can force Windows 10 to allow Firefox to be the default browser instead of MS Edge (which keeps on being default on my system)?

with windows 10, go to "settings," then "apps," then "default apps." then, scroll down to "web browser" and select the web browser that you want as your default.

Yes, that is the normal way, except when W10 only allows you to go the Microsoft Store and won't show any alternatives.

Re: FIREFOX AS MAIN BROWSER?
Not true. At the top of the Win 10 "Apps & features" panel is a drop down that lets the user "Choose where to get apps" and one of the choices is "Anywhere" while only the fourth choice in that drop down is "The Microsoft Store only".ndebord wrote:redwolfe,

Go to the Windows Start menu and click the Settings icon.
Click Apps, then choose Default Apps on the left pane.
Scroll down and click the entry under Web browser.
Click on Firefox in the dialog that opens with a list of available browsers.
Firefox is now listed as your default browser.
