Open bookmark links in new tab?

I think I asked about this some time ago, but without the ability to search for my posts I have to ask again.

I'd like to have bookmarks open in a new tab when left clicking. Is there a way to do that without add-ons/extensions, or do I need to use the middle wheel?

Under General in your Tools/Options/General/Tabs read the list.
Setting links to open in new tabs, bookmark is the same as a link, or at least it used to be.
However it would be somewhat of a global setting.

Are you opening a new blank tab & then left clicking the Bookmark?
That works, otherwise just centre/wheel click the required Bookmark.

Not sure but maybe someone may know if it's possible.
Normal/default operation is...Left click = open in current tab.

Yes, I already have it set to "Open links in tabs instead of new windows". But that doesn't open links in a new tab, just the active one.

No, that's an extra step, which defeats the purpose.

Yeah I'll just do that. The trick is to remember which browser I'm in, because my other browsers have the ability to open links in a new tab with the left click.

There are lots of addons that claim to work but they all seem to provide different results.
I have all the settings mentioned but find I needed to add this addon to gain the most correct functionality.

That one didn't work, either. I appreciate your efforts, though.

And... you never left click? I can only assume your mouse is configured for left-handed operation?

EDIT: Setting browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs to true does work. I simply forgot to restart FF after changing. Thanks!

Ah, yes it does! I realize I forgot to restart FF after trying it when xanthon suggested it. d'oh!
