Firefox passwords lost

Post by nic.olas »

Hello,

We use the Firefox ESR version (91.10.0) on our Citrix servers (Virtual Desktop and Applications).
Since the last update of Firefox ESR I have users who report to have lost their registered password in Firefox.
However the logins.json and key4.db files are still in their Firefox profiles.

However, for these users, I noticed that Firefox creates a directory like ZGO7WD~1.DEF and or 0WWSXF~1.UTI which also contains the files cert9.db, key4.db and pkcs11.txt.

What's going on ?

P.S: I use Citrix UPM to upload and download user profiles to a file server.

Thanks for your help.

Nicolas

Since the last update of Firefox ESR
Is that "last update" from 91.9.0 to 91.10.0 ?
Fire 750, bring back 250.

That's odd, cause you'd expect ESR to only have (mainly) security related changes.

Firefox ESR Release Notes

Though Firefox 91 for developers does mention "Marionette" (not that I understand what that does).

If you drop back to 91.9.0, do things return to normal?
(And if they do, you ought to think about filing a bug against 91.10.0.)
