Can't delete history in URL bar searching result any more?

IIRC, one can delete search result item by hover the result and press "del" key. But I find that I can't do it any more, anyone know why & when Firefox changed that behavior?

you can use google-search to find more articles about how to remove websites from firefox's search-suggestions. for example:

You need to use the cursor Down/Up key to highlight an item and not hover the item.
You may also have to use Shift+Delete for items in the location bar drop-down list.

can't delete the hover item now? it's a regression.
