plugin to stop google home page ads?

Post by fbu924 »

Hello: does a plug-in for FF exist to keep the google home page bare & simple -- no ads? I'm assuming that such would be platform independent, tho this is w11. I did search in "extensions-plugins" but there are only 113 pages to scroll thru, & I found nada on 1st 2 pgs. I do have nukeanything, but the assumption is that nukeanything works fine for 1 specific ad, & I would have to continuously invoke it w/each new ad. (I also looked at google's own settings, but found, duh, nothing allowing me to stop these ads. I had already said "no" long ago to all the personalization choices.) Thank you.

You might look at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ck-origin/

You could also do an Internet search for "firefox ad blockers" to find multiple options.

I don't think Google usually shows ads on https://www.google.com/, other than for its own sites/services. If you see other ads, an add-on might be injecting them.
