I have two pop-up blockers that do a good job overall of blocking pop-ups at sites.
Now I would like to do the same with videos that play at various sites, on their own.
Can anyone tell me how I can achieve this? I'm sure FF must have a way to do this,
or a 3rd party software can?

Re: Disable videos
There is Settings > Privacy & Security > Permissions > Autoplay. Users get mixed results with that.

Re: Disable videos
Some autoplay prefs you can look at on the about:config page:
media.autoplay.default = 5 (0: allow; 1: blockAudible; 5: blockAll)
media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2
media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false
media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true
media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground

media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2
media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false
media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true
media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground

Thanks dick I'll look into that if the previous suggestion doesn't work.
