Limit history to 2 months

Post by drew77 »

I noticed that Firefox keeps history for at least six months.

I was manually deleting the history and it took forever.

Sometimes it even froze up.

Is this still valid for limiting the days of history?

browser.history_expire_days

Thanks.

It might take more than that if it still works, doesn't show in about:config, you could try and add it.
HOWEVER . . .there are a number of other history settings which might alter the condition.
It might also depend on how or what is removed, whether in a loop or age.
browser.migrate.chrome.history.limit (integer)
browser.migrate.chrome.history.maxAgeInDays (default shows 180)
browser.sessionhistory.max_entries (Integer)
Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Note that there is a fix in 108 for this issue with clearing history taking a lot of time.
