mp3's in browser?

Post by lanceh »

new to firebird here and i have a question. everytime i click on an MP3 link in firebird it opens in the browser with quicktime even though windows media is the default player for MP3's on my machine.

when i type 'About:Plugins' in the URL bar i get no listing for MP3's whatsoever.

so how does it know to play with quicktime and how can i change this?

thanks

You need to alter the mime type settings for Quicktime and uncheck the box for mp3. There should be a Quicktime icon on the control panel.

Tools -> Options... -> Downloads -> Plug-Ins...
Try disabling the plugin for mp3 (if you have one listed... I don't).
