I just removed realplayer form my system and the cut and paste error dissappeared...

This is the list of software that uses the malware plugin that causes problems for Firefox...

Go!Zilla
BearShare
Mp3.com
iMesh
Babylon
Webshots
gDivx
BikiniDesk
RadLight / Subtitle Studio
RealNetworks (RealOne Player) <---I'd say the majority of us have this installed
UK Software
Cydoor (LingoWare)
Grokster
KaZaA
Mindset Interactive (NetPalNow)"

Well so much for my fix above... The Cut and Paste failure is back. The fix I did on Sunday lasted only 2 days until the browser failed to allow cut and paste again. This is a huge BUG that you need to address, if you continue to ignore it your browser will end up in the trash heap...

This is not a bug in FF but a bug in the trojan. See it this way: if FF does not had this problem the trojan would be still undetected. I have also realplayer installed and no malware with it. Did you download it from the real networks site?
There are a few bugs out for Copy/Paste. Fixes for these bugs are included in FF 2.0. Hope they finally fix the problem.

Start up regedit in Run from the start menu. Look for these things.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
called "UninstallString" with value: rundll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pushow55.dll Uninstall (or any pushow dll's.)

And this.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
called AppInit_DLLs. The value was pushow55.dll.

Hello i have the same problem, unable to copy and paste, and i've just realised i can drag the image from one window to another, although it looks invisible whilst i'm doing it, and doesn't highlight or anything, but at least it works. If i copy and paste i still get a line of code.

Ps I'm dragging from google images into a word document. Or onto my desktop.

I'm having the same weird problem right now. It seems like I have copy and paste working right now, but I didn't moments ago. I have been using Firefox basically since it came out, and hever never experienced this before.

Very strange.

Copy and paste.

Well were now into the middel of August and still the copy and paste problem is there.

I don`t have any malware problems, like newnet of the pushow.dll.

It seems to be a Firefox problem.

Is this ever going to get fixed?

I`m seriously thinking of ditching Firefox. In all honesty, the ability to copy and paste should`ve been fixed by now. I know it doesn`t affect everyone, but it obviously affects a lot of people. Comeon Mozilla, get your act together.

Regards Howard.

As stated earlier this bug is erratic. Most people do never see this bug - including me. So it is very hard to find the cause of this bug because it is nearly impossible to reproduce it.

Try to open a new window: press F1 to open Help and close that window.
Does you have one Fx window open or more as it happens?

Didn't you see how old the thread is? Over one year now. If you have that problem in FF3 make a new thread.
