why Firebird doesn't have the abilities of turning off animation, video, sound... like IE?

To turn off animation, go to urlbar and type about:config and hit enter. Enter animation in the filter box and hit enter.

See under image.animation_mode and make sure the value is none

If i am not wrong, there is no way to turn off sounds yet.

thanks so much for advice to turn off animation, it works fine, btw, how about turning off video?

I don't think there is a way to do it.

However, if you want to remove anything on the page, you can try Nuke anything extension.
