server not found

so this thread may be old, but firefox 4 is giving me this problem, not able to load some pages, while most sites loading are fine. Though something I have to click reload a few times to get it going. I have no problem with MSIE, Opera, Chrome, Safari, so why is Firefox giving me grief?
It can't be firewall, antivirus, etc, coz I checked the settings and they are fine (otherwise the other browsers would be blocked too). Definitely Firefox 4 got a lot of problems to resolve.
Judging from the thread, FF seems to suffer with this issue off and on.
