Scrolling

Post by Syal »

Hi, I'm using Firebird 0.7 on WinXP, and though it's already my default browser, I've run into some little annoyances.

1. When I scroll down a page, the scrolling is way slower when there is any image of that page on screen. As soon as I scroll down and the image disappears from screen, scrolling recovers its speed.

2. Sometimes when loading pages the mouse pointer freezes for a second.

In case it's of any help I'm running an Athlon at 1100 Mhz, 768Mb RAM, TNT2

Thanks a lot! :-)

I was going to say that you don't have enough memory, but I changed my mind....

I too have the same problem. The problem is more for some websites. I ended up blocking the images from all the websites in which image scrolling problem is there. But I think, it's not the problem with those website designs as there is no problem when I use IE.

I think the new firefox 3 resolves this issue. Pls install it from http://download.mozilla.org/?product=gr ... lang=en-US

But many of the addons you were using previously might be disabled. To enable them, install addon Nightly Tester Tools 1.2.1, and then use "Make all compatible" button on addon window.
