Newbie Help Please

I got sick of IE so I switched to Mozilla Firebird and so far I really like it. I downloaded the program and installed it. However the program did not put an icon on my desktop or on my start menu. Is there any way to put an icon for MF on my desktop or down on the bottom toolbar next to my start menu? I'm running win98se. Also now that I have MF, is it safe or ok to uninstall IE? Thanks.

Go to the MF directory, right click mf.exe and create shortcut. Drag to Desktop. Drag this one to the quick launch tray. IE is hard to uninstall. Easiest to leave it alone in your case.
