Why can't handle the HTML file?

Post by kelvin »

When I log in a mail server and open a mail, a window pop up.
The window writes as follows,
---------------------------------
You have chosen to open
A new mail
from:http://bjms6.163.net/cgi/
which is a: HTML file

What should Mozilla Firebird do with this file?
---------------------------------

Why the window pop up? How to handle this proplem? Is there any setting I set unproperly?

Any help will be greatly appreciated?

either the server is sending it with the wrong mimetype, or you messed up your setting for text/html. does the window say what mimetype the server is sending it as?

The window doesn't say what mimetype the server is sending it as.

I think I messed up your setting for text/html before because a long time ago Mozillafirebird can handle the web page properly.

How to solve this problem

Perhaps a url (to the page with the link) or screenshot of the window that comes up would help. If any html files load (the page you clicked the link on) & this one don't I'd tend to think the entire html setting isn't messed up. It'd help me to know the url of the page with the link & the url of the link, since it's a mail site some of the info in the url would be sensitive, but unless you know what parts that is, it's not a good idea for you to try to munge, I'd suggest get the urls, logout, then log back in, that way any info in the urls would probably be expired.
