Problem using yahoo in firefox

When I try to run this line:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -p
it says: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program'. Make you sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.
Please don't think I didn't put it in correctly, It's absolutely as you said, so I tried doing it the way an extension usually is, I put in:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p
Doing this simply opens Firefox as it usually would, no difference.
As I've said earlier, I have Firefox installed on another computer on my home network and it has the same problem, so I'm skeptical that it's a cookie problem. Also, I don't use that PC for surfing the web so I don't think it's picked up any conflicting cookies or anything.
I'll try downloading it from firefox.com again and reinstalling it and report back.
Thanks for the help though.

Guest, why are you spamming this topic? Your problem has very obviously nothing to do with the one described here. Can't you open another topic on your problem?
There are lots of people suffering from crashes on Yahoo Mail. And I hoped that when they open this topic they would see the solution, not a discussion on an entirely different problem.

Hi,
I deleted the npYState.dll from my disk, and the Yahoo plug in (about: plugins) disappeared instantly after restarting FFx. Now I can access my Yahoo mail and send and receive mails without problems.
The only drawback is that I am not able to keep my Log-In status anymore, which means I have to Log-In again and again every time I re-start FFx no matter how much time has passed since my latest log-in-
Also FFx crashes and/or hangs when accessing the Beta version of Yahoo mail.

Wladimir Palant wrote:No, the problem with logging in is only about cookies, it has nothing to do with this plugin.
I have all my cookies allowed and this is happening also when using IE, and I have not changed anything from any of the two browsers. In fact I can log in fine to other sites that also require cookies for staying logged in, and this behaviour started all of a sudden and it coincided with the deletion of the plugin.
Anyway, I get my Yahoo mail also from Thunderbird, so this is nothing for me to worry about, it is only an annoyance that started just recently.
Thanks a lot Wladimir, BTW GREAT, GREAT !!! extension is your Adblock plus, I am using it with Rick´s filter and I am very happy with the combo.

Problems using yahoo mail with firefox
I am having trouble using Yahoo mail with firefox too. I use Windows XP (SP2). The firefox version is 1.5.0.1. It seems like the problems is caused when I click the "empty bulk email" button in Yahoo mail. That is when I have noticed firefox hangs up the most.
It has happened so many times now that I just don't empty bulk email before I have done all my other browsing etc. But occasionally firefox hung up on Yahoo mail even when I was not using "empty bulk email" button.
I dunno what the problem is. The earlier version did not have this problem for me at least. I have adblock, greasemonkey, google toolbar extensions. Greasemonkey is disabled most of the times. Adblock is running but it didn't seem to have problems with previous version of Firefox.
Hope someone finds a solution to this soon

Ok! sorry for posting the previous post without having gone thru the whole thread of this problem. I solved the problem by removing npYstate.dll file.
Incidently some other user above was saying that this file was not in the "plugins" directory. I could not find it in the plugins directory eiter. However it was there is the shared directory for yahoo. Google desktop did the job of searching the file for me.
Hopefully this will not cause me any problems using yahoo messenger coz I do use it often. Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. This helped my keep using FFX with yahoo mail. I was about to use IE for this and I hate to use IE.
