The default theme? If so, try to delete the chrome.rdf file
and the XUL.mfl file and launch, do this with the browser
closed, you may have to install extensions/themes again
if you have any. (I avoid them myself)

What happens if you select the "Mozilla Firebird" theme? That is the default theme, which was originally called "Qute".

Like Caetck said delete chrome.rdf file and the XUL.mfl file in your profile folder.
THEN....... delete the folder where Firebird is installed. Please, don't delete the profile folder!!
THEN....... reinstall Firebird. Start it up, it should find your profile, and it should have the default theme in place.
Next time, check the forums, and the theme page for FB before you add a theme that may break your firebird.

Then you got the "Qute" theme, but you need to do other things to get it back!
Did you delete the chrome folder and the XUL.mfl files in your profile?
If you didn't , your going to have to do that eventually! That is about the only way to fix a fubar'd theme and get back to the default without a LOT of putzing around in files that can cause other more severe problems.
Yes, you will have to reinstall any extenisons you had in your profile.
But we can't help if your not going to listen to the folks in here taht have gone through this!

Were you using TBE? If so, download this patched TBE:

GO to your latest profile folder and COPY all the files there (except XUL.mfl) to a safe place on your HD.
(DO NOT COPY THE CHROME FOLDER!!! )
THEN delete ALL OF YOUR profile folders,
THEN delete the folder that Firebird is installed in. In other words get rid if it!
This will remove ANYTHING that is breaking your themes, it will get back the default theme ( AKA classic, and Qute).
THEN Reinstall Firebird.
Shut it down completely AFTER THE RESTART!
THEN rebuild your profile again!
COPY the files from above back into the new profile folder.
Start Firebird.
It should now have the default( AKA classic or Qute) theme.
You will have to put any extenisons you want back in, and I recommend you do it from the extension room on the web and NOT frrm files you have downloaded (delete those suckers).
If this is to hard for you, let us know! You then may be on your own with this problem!
It's hard trying to look over your shoulder from somewhere that is far far removed from you! Especially if you won't listen!
What more can I say?
