Once history.dat has grown considerable (500K+ I think) and I opened the History Sidebar or Go Menu there will be a small pause before any link is load. This is easily visible if tabs are openend in background (loading icon stops). This can be fixed by restarting all browser instances or cleary cache.
Digging into the source this seems to happen (for the Go Menu at least) on <a href="http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/browser/base/content/browser.js#753">browser.js line 753</a>
Any bug filed for this?
