firebird uninstall

Post by Ajarn »

Hi guys ~
I messed up
I had firebird installed and working. Great browser, so far.
I am using mandrake 9.2
Then I decided to install some themes.
Theme 1 was fine
Theme 2 went wrong.( walnut theme )
When I click my icon to open the browser, I just get -kind of a flicker- and then it is gone again.
then I searched for files which had changed in the last hour. but got none the wiser.
I uninstalled it, re-installed, but same thing.
somewhere some files have been modified ( I think ) but I am not knowledgeble enough to find this alone.
I would like to restore firebird, and keep using it.
any help is appreciated
Thanks

Delete the hidden .phoenix directory in your home directory after saving your bookmarks and your cookie files (and anything else you want to save, like your signons.txt file). Themes go in the .phoenix directory on Linux distributions, and if the theme has messed up Firebird then you need to get rid of it.
