Thanks, here's the link to my task manager screen shot.

If this doesn't work out I'll try enumprocess, whatever it may be!

You should disable Windows Defender. Having more than one firewall/virus scanner can cause any number of problems.

Also call in at the Folding thread, and post your stats... RAF will add you a Folding Moniker to your name,if you decide to register with the forum

Also you still have zone alarm and AVG software running too... Possible conflicts may arise there. As trolly said, decide which Firewall and virus scanner you want, and keep that one. Only ever have one, and exactly one Firewall and one resident Virus Scanner running!

And when you uninstall security software, read the directions! That stuff is amazingly hard to get rid of.

I've heard sacrificing a goat to the great goddess of the interweb (Symantica Nortonis) usually helps.. ! :)

Having issues...

Post by All Star »

I just upgraded to the new version and can't get to the internet with Firefox, the only thing is that after I try to get on with Firefox, nothing else will work either, AIM, IE, everything intenet related just disconnects on me......

Could this be a firewall issue? Windows firewall is turned off and for the Mcafee it says Firefox is allowed to access the internet.

Help would be much appreciated.

Looks more like McAfee screwed up and locked everything. Uninstall it and try again. If it works now reinstall it.

Since last FF Upd, all sites are 'not found'

Post by wildbillnum2 »

Dowloaded your program to list processes ruinning. Got 1 red, 1 green and 4 eTrust: 2 anti-virus, 1 pest patrol and 1 'caissdt.exe'. I was still under IE, and couldn't find your program to run with FF.
Tried to follow advice here, but have no firewall icon in system tray, and, when I did, it led to a window that was of no use.

Which was reported in red? The green one is its own process.

uh. ever since i updated to the newest version it hasn't been running. like it worked for a few hours, then my service provider was acting stupid and now it just won't load any pages at all. IE works obviously. I've checked my firewall numerous times and Mozilla is on there, it's the windows firewall. and then i ran the enumprocess and nothing came up in red. but it's still not working.
