Unanswered java problem

Has anybody else gotten a problem where firebird shuts down if an applet tries to run? I get an error like:

INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Exec of "java_vm" failed: 2

System error?:: No such file or directory
Gdk-ERROR **: Fatal IO error 9 (Bad file descriptor) on X server :0.0.
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not read ack from child process
System error?:: Resource temporarily unavailable

after Firebird crashes.

would love some help.

Okay, now that I've finally posted, I found an answer. Hopefully it'll be useful to others, here. I made the mistake of copying the plugin to my plugin directory rather that just symlinking to it. I don't remember why I copied it, but I couldn't get it to work with symlink before for some reason. Anyway, re-linked it and now it works.
