I am running MDK9.2 w/ MozillaFirebird 0.7. I downleded the most recent version of the flash plugin from http://www.shockwave.com and untar it to create a directory install_flash_player_6_linux which contains the 2 necessary files: libflashplayer.so and flashplayer.xpt. I have the MozillaFirebird directory in my home directory and I have created a link the the binary on my desktop. I copied the 2 plugin files to the MozillaFirebird/plugins directory.
All this is with the browser closed, btw.
Then I start my browser and it still will not recognize flash. I have used the build in installer also, but that is just a script that does the copying for you.
Anyway, what do I need to do to make FB recognize flash? I know it's worked for me before. My current buidl is:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7
Please help!
