Firebird as default browser?!

Hi all,

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on? A few months ago, I downloaded and began using Firebird and, for the most part, really liked it. Because of this, I also downloaded and for a brief time used Thunderbird. However, I decided in the end to stick with IE for the time being.

I deleted both programs only to find that IE will no longer recognize itself as my default browser. I checked the box under Internet Options -> Programs that asks IE to confirm that it is the default browser when the program is executed, but it refuses to prompt me each time I open the program.

This is truly frustrating. While Firebird was nice, I would like to have IE and its accompanying default functionality back. Any advice, please?

Open IE prefs and choose Reset Web Settings

You have to go to CONTROL PANEL-ADD/REMOVE PRGRMS -SET PRGRM ACCES AND DEFAULT and set iIE as your default browser
