Firefox freezes opening Adobe pdf

Every time I click a link, no matter the site, to load an Adobe Acrobat .PDF file, Firefox freezes...so I have to close Firefox...go back in to site and highlight the link, and copy into IE...

I have no problem having to go to IE, as they open fine in that...

Make sure that you're using Adobe Reader 7. Version 6 never really worked with Firefox.

(Daifne- it's probably not a good idea to move a support thread posted by a guest user even if it does really belong in Support. They'll never find it again)

I have version 7 of Adobe Acrobat and it is up to date...Thank you shoofy...it says Firefox support up top so I thought this is where I should post...where do I go from here to get an answer?
