Not sure if this is what everyone is referring too but it is a HUGE problem. The problem occurs when the browser is open for a while and appears random. When you try to type in the google search bar or cut and paste anything in it - you can't - it's locked / frozen with a past search forcing one to quit and relaunch to make it go away. This began after 1.5.0.1 which i have reverted to successfully now. I keep trying new builds all the way to 1.5.0.6 - all show the same freeze up.

Is there anywhere to report this?

try Firefox > Preferences > Search (uri: about:preferences#search):
de-sellect, un-sellect, un-check, remove check from:
" Show search suggestions in location bar results "
it seems I remember another place (about:config, maybe) that said something like:
search from location (address) bar... can't think of where at the moment.
