I'm looking for info on how to keep the Firebird browser page from starting upon intial booting of the system. I have opened the msconfig startup screen and unchecked the Firebird box, but it still opens when the system boots.
Yes. The Firebird opens with a blank page at bootup and without connection to my dialup ISP. When I go ahead and connect to my ISP, my homepage (set for Google) comes up.
I've gone through the start/run/msconfig/startup and unchecked the appropriate box. If I close all that out and go back to it without rebooting, the box is still unchecked. But after I reboot firebird starts up again automatically. So I go back to the the startup screen and the Firebird box is checked for startup.
Processor is 700mhz pentium III, FSB 100, 383 ram. Not the fastest but it doesn't seem too slow. I did run a spyware cleaner and nothing showed up. The blinking isn't a big thing, love this browser.
Three extensions total. Two of them are enabled. It does the same thing on my 1.5 Mozilla as well. I've unistalled and reinstalled, can't figure this one out. Starting to think it's something in this machine.
